Knowing who you are targeting helps drive what you put in your CV.
Focus on the jobs they need to get done, the pains they experience in trying to do the work and the gains they’re after.I find it helps if I understand the challenges they have in their work and jobs – get inside their mind. If I can then relate that back to the achievements or objectives I’ve delivered in previous roles, or aspects of my experience that I can relate back to their challenges, it has a positive effect not just on the role but also on my confidence in winning the role.
Mindset is often a mis-quoted and mis-understood thing, but you know when you feel it if you’re in the right mindset or not.
